Those who come to the United States are often misunderstood.
Some come as victims of human trafficking. Others flee war, kidnapping, torture, and persecution in their home country. Others are survivors of domestic abuse. But they all have one thing in common: they want to be Americans.
Because of you, families in crisis looking for a better life here in the United States receive legal assistance and a network of support services. The St. Frances Cabrini Center for Immigrant Legal Assistance is dedicated to providing high quality, low-cost and pro bono legal services to immigrants and refugees who would otherwise not be able to obtain legal representation.
The Cabrini Center is the largest non-profit immigration legal service provider in Houston accredited by the Board of Immigration Appeals to represent individuals in immigration legal matters.
With your support, information sessions – called “Charlas” – are offered for free three times per month, both on-site and remotely. These sessions teach attendees about immigration laws and offer free consultation. Application assistance is also offered for people seeking to apply for U.S. Citizenship, among other services.
