Mamie George Community Center to Host
4th Annual Pancake Festival June 24, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Mamie George Community Center (MGCC) will host its 4th Annual Pancake Festival Sat., June 24, to benefit program services in Fort Bend County. MGCC, a program of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston serving Fort Bend County, is known as a place of love and service around the county where seniors 60+ can get a healthy meal, take classes and make new friends.
Featuring all-you-can-eat pancakes for $5, the festival is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 1111 Collins Road (map).
“The Pancake Festival is becoming a favorite community event, and we are so excited about the entertainment lined up this year,” said Gladys Brumfield, MGCC Senior Wellness program director. Fort Bend County is a uniquely connected community with non-profits, local foundations, and government working together to make it a great place to live for everyone.
Festival goers are invited to enjoy pancakes, crafts, activities for the kids, and live entertainment all day! We are so grateful for our volunteers and “flipping teams” from the community scheduled to flip all throughout the day.
