Thanks to the generosity of employees at The Tremont House Galveston, children in Galveston will be prepared for the new school year!
The Tremont House Galveston, a Marriot Bonvoy Premiere Hotel, partnered with Catholic Charities’ Beacon of Hope Center on Galveston Island to collect school supplies during a recent drive to benefit Galveston Independent School District students.
The drive was coordinated by Tremont House Human Resources Director Monica Puentes. The Director of Communications for Galveston ISD, Dyann Polzin, picked up the supplies on August 8, 2023 to distribute to children in need, aging from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade.
School supplies campaigns are planned to continue, with at least four occurring each year, to assist students throughout the school year, including summer school.
The Tremont House and Catholic Charities are aligned in this year-round venture, and are grateful to Galveston ISD for allowing this collaboration to serve families in need
