The three Catholic Charities offices in Galveston County reopened Thursday to provide emergency assistance, Walmart gift cards, transportation and food for evacuees and families affected by Hurricane Harvey, said Elizabeth Kinard, Galveston County Director.
All clients receiving assistance at these locations will also be guided through the FEMA application process and registered with the Coordinated Assistance Network.
In addition, to assist people impacted by the severe damage sustained in Dickinson, a Catholic Charities volunteer site will begin operation at Unity Church in League City Sept. 5 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
