Natalie Wood, senior vice president of programs for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, received national recognition from Catholic Charities USA.  At the organization’s 2018 Annual Gathering in Buffalo, New York with more than 500 attendees from across the nation, Wood received the Management Excellence Award for her leadership and dedication to the mission of Catholic Charities.

“Natalie has been a devoted member of our team here in Houston for many years now, and we are truly grateful for her servant leadership to our mission and the people we serve every day,” said Cynthia N. Colbert, MSW, President and CEO of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.

CCUSA’s Management Excellence Award recognizes supervisors and managers who are addressing the needs of their units and individual employees to successfully navigate impending changes in the workplace.

“I am honored to receive this award, especially since Catholic Charities agencies are truly the best agencies providing services today,” Wood said. “I cannot accept this award without recognizing my amazing team. We are able to fulfill our mission through their hard work, dedication and effort.”

CCUSA’s Annual Gathering is the preeminent meeting for Catholic Charities professionals, volunteers, and partners.  Training opportunities help organizations across the country advance their work, strategize about poverty reduction and celebrate a shared identity.
