Cynthia Nunes Colbert, MSW

Cynthia N. Colbert, MSW, took the helm of Catholic Charities in 2012. She is an experienced leader with more than 25 years in nonprofit management.

Colbert has led the agency through recovery efforts following Hurricane Harvey, Tropical Storm Imelda, Winter Storm Uri, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Hundreds of thousands of vulnerable people in Southeast Texas have been helped under Colbert’s leadership.

Cynthia was appointed to the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’s Houston Branch and was elected to be chair pro-tem. She serves on the board of United Way of Greater Houston as well as Texas Executive Women and is a senior fellow with American Leadership Forum.
