Volunteer with Catholic Charities
“The greatest good is what we do for one another.” – St. Teresa of Calcutta
Thank you for considering volunteering with us! Volunteers are essential in fulfilling our mission here at Catholic Charities. They help us ensure that the stranger gets welcomed, the senior is looked after, the hungry are fed, and the children are served.
Catholic Charities constantly evolves to meet the needs of the community, and so do the jobs of our volunteers. You can help us provide services to those in need regardless of race, religion or socioeconomic status. Give your time and share your talent with Catholic Charities. All are welcome!

We have volunteer opportunities at our various sites in Houston, Galveston, and Fort Bend County for individuals and groups. You can help:
- Feed the hungry at our food pantries or food fairs on certain Saturdays
- Coordinate events for children, adults and the elderly
- Teach life skills or language classes
- Assist with our donation centers and gift shops
- Intern with a specific program
- As a Pro Bono Attorney and much more!
More information can be found in the “Volunteer Directories” at the specific locations you would like to volunteer in. The first step in volunteering with Catholic Charities is decide where would you like to volunteer.

Can’t make the commute to volunteer in our offices? You can do it from home, at your school, your church, or anywhere by hosting a drive for one or more of our programs. We are always in in need of items for those that we serve. Click on the program or programs you would like to help and you will find a kit with the tools needed to host a successful drive. You will be asked to drop off the items at the appropriate program site. If it is a large donation Catholic Charities may be able to schedule a pick-up. Items collected must be unopened and unused. For more information about hosting a drive please contact Karina Hernandez, Volunteer Services, at 713.874.6645.
