Jenifer Santos
Jenifer Santos is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She received both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University. Jenifer has over ten years of experience working with unaccompanied minors, families, and youth that have experienced trauma and mental health issues. She has provided services to students, families, and communities with the Catholic Charities School Counseling Program for six years and has been the lead clinician for five of those. Her professional training includes evidence-based interventions such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma and Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents, Child Centered Play Therapy, and art therapy. She utilizes a trauma-informed approach with her clients. She has presented at various conferences and has been involved in a local social work organization. Jenifer is passionate about educating others, especially families, about mental health and trauma. Jenifer is a U.S. born Salvadoran and is bilingual in English and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to concerts, baking, crafting, and yoga.
