Summer time is hunger time for Miranda`s family. 😥
Even during the school year, Miranda struggles to put food on the table. But when summer arrives and her children lose access to free school meal programs, making ends meet becomes nearly impossible.
Your gift of just $27.93 can help Miranda – and other needy parents – provide food for their children.

Our garden at the Mamie George Community Center received designation as a USDA People`s Garden Site! Volunteers produce over 3,000 pounds of fresh produce annually. All that goodness is distributed to hungry families through our food pantries and Patty`s Cafe, which serves nutritious meals for seniors in Fort Bend County.

📣 After nearly 13 years of service, Cynthia Nunes Colbert, MSW, has announced her plans to retire as president and CEO of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston at the end of the year.
We have been fortunate to have her as our leader, and we extend our deep appreciation for her vision, passion, and heart.
🔄 As we begin a thoughtful and strategic transition process, we remain committed to serving our community using Cynthia’s leadership as a guiding light.
🙏 Please join us in thanking Cynthia for her years of faithful service and wish her well in her new chapter!

🚨 This is your last chance — and the last time we’ll ask. Catholic Charities is facing an urgent budget shortfall as our fiscal year ends. After a difficult year of layoffs and lost funding, we’re still standing strong in our mission to serve the most vulnerable in Greater Houston.
🙏 Will you help us continue providing food, housing, and support to those who need it most?
