Your Information as Related to Our Website

We collect the domain name and email address (where possible) of visitors to our Web page, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations. The information we collect is used to improve the content of our web page, not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes. Catholic Charities will never send you any unsolicited information, including email regarding offers or advertisements at any time. Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers online will only receive telephone contact from us with information regarding requests they have placed online.

If you supply us with your postal address online you will only receive the information for which you provided us your address. At any time you do not want to receive email from us, please let us know by sending us an email at the email address listed below. In your email please provide us with your name, phone number, and email address registered and we will be sure your name is removed from the list.

Technology and Security

Some web pages created by Catholic Charities use ‘cookies’, which are small text files that may be placed on your hard disk for record-keeping purposes. Catholic Charities respects the sensitive nature of children’s privacy online. We are a general audience site, and do not direct our content specifically at children under 13 years of age. If Catholic Charities learns that a user is under age 13, Catholic Charities will delete the child’s information from our systems.

Donor Privacy

It is the policy of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston not to sell or exchange its agency donor list with other organizations or disclose privileged information regarding donors or gifts to unauthorized parties. If a donor wishes to remain anonymous or their gift is restricted, this is duly recorded and honored.
