Jaime Rivera
Jaime Rivera is currently the Clinical Supervisor of the Counseling and Behavioral Health Clinic and in addition, he serves as an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work teaching graduate courses in the clinical mental health field. He has an undergraduate degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX and completed a Masters of Social Work degree at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. Jaime is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor and has been practicing for the past 10 years providing mental health treatment and crisis intervention in the Houston area in a variety of interdisciplinary settings. In addition, he has worked in various medical and outpatient clinic settings completing diagnostic intakes, assessments and therapeutic interventions with different populations with a particular focus on vulnerable, underserved and immigrant communities. In addition, he has provided trainings on different topics including self-care, trauma informed care, stress management and vicarious traumatization to various different organizations in the community.
