Catholic Charities has been working in Fort Bend since 2011 Mamie George Community Center (MGCC) was established in Richmond. The MGCC has helped to invigorate the lives of many senior residents providing them with free hot meals, socialization, and other activities aimed to improve their health and well-being. The presence of the MGCC has fostered collaborations with other area non-profits that have increased access to additional needed social services, such as daycare for children.
