Jenifer Santos is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Board-Certified Clinical Supervisor, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She received both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is currently the Director of the Counseling and Behavioral Health Clinic. Prior to her current role, Jenifer served as the Clinical Supervisor for the Clinic, providing clinical supervision and support to clinical staff. Jenifer has over ten years of experience working with unaccompanied minors, families, and youth that have experienced trauma and mental health issues. Additionally, she provided services to students, families, and school communities with the Catholic Charities School-Based Behavioral Health Services for over six years. Her professional training includes evidence-based interventions such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma and Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents, Child Centered Play Therapy, and art therapy. She has presented at various conferences and has held leadership positions in a local social work organization. Jenifer is a U.S. born Salvadoran and is bilingual in English and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, concerts, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.
