Food Distributions

Catholic Charities’ food pantries have been operating since shelter-in-place became our new normal, along with all of our other programs that are being handled by phone and email rather than face-to-face.

After-School Snack Pack Project

  • Time: Every other Wednesday (starting, Wednesday 2/9) from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.; this project runs twice a month
  • Description: 250 snack packs to be packaged and loaded into community vehicle to be distributed to two different locations.

Drive-Through Project – Food Distribution

  • Time: Every Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Description: Loading cans, produce, grains, and heavy food into the cars of individuals who qualify or barely do not qualify for federal benefits (ie: SNAP). This drive-through operation alleviates an individual’s choice to compromise making a payment for nutrition benefit over another basic need/right.

Walk-Up Grocery Project – Packaging

  • Time: Every Thursday 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
  • Description: Packing groceries for a sustainable weekend excursion. These groceries will be distributed the following afternoon to our neighbors without cars and – most commonly – do not currently have a home. Think fuel for the weekend. These bags are made in the pantry for easy distribution access the following day.

Walk-Up Grocery Project- Distribution

  • Time: Fridays from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Description: Distributing and Collecting TEFAP Intake forms, distributing grocery bags, walking, talking with individuals who need assistance filling out TEFAP forms.
