Citizenship Workshop @ Arab American Cultural & Community Center

Join Catholic Charities for a FREE session on citizenship.

At least 75 citizenship screenings will be provided. Eligible applicants will work with volunteers to start the citizenship application process.

Saturday, August 26, 2017 | 8 a.m. — 2 p.m.

  1. Green card & SSN/ID/Driver’s license
  2. 5 years of employment & residence history
  3. Any criminal records
  4. Tax returns/public benefits letter
  5. List of all children & current/prior spouses with addresses & DOBs
  6. List of trips outside U.S.

Registration for Applicants — 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
(capacity may be limited)
Training for Volunteers — 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
(1.5 CLE credit hours approved by the State Bar of Texas)

CLE credits provided by the Muslim Bar Association of Houston

Mamie George Monthly Food Fairs – Richmond @ Mamie George Community Center - Trini's Corner Market

Trini’s Corner Market is a self-select food pantry with grocery layout allowing residents and senior citizens, based on income and need, to supplement their food budget by selecting among fresh produce, meats, canned foods, breads and dry goods available.

The Mamie George Community Center (MGCC) hosts monthly food fairs for those in need.

Food fairs are located at Trini’s Corner Market inside MGCC at 1111 Collins Road in Richmond, Texas.

Remaining 2017 Schedule for Monthly Food Fairs at Mamie George:

  • August 26
  • September 30
  • October 28
  • November 18
  • December 9

All food fairs take place on Saturdays during the hours of 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

Immigration Charla in Spanish @ Catholic Charities Main Office

Charlas are relocated at the central office at 2900 Louisiana Street.

A Charla is an information session explaining immigration laws. Following the Charla is an opportunity for a free consultation with an Immigration Attorney or Accredited Representative.

Charlas are offered in English and Spanish. Seating is limited and is based on a first come, first served basis. Please do not bring children to the Charla. This session will be held at 8:00 AM in Spanish.

Food Fair – Houston @ Catholic Charities Guadalupe Center

The Catholic Charities Guadalupe Center hosts twice monthly food fairs to help those in need supplement their food budget by selecting among fresh produce, meats, canned foods, breads and dry goods available.

Catholic Charities hosts monthly food fairs for those in need.

Food fairs are located at the Guadalupe Center at 326 S. Jensen Drive in Houston.

All food fairs take place on Saturdays beginning at 9 a.m. unless otherwise noted. The community at large is all welcome, no ID or other information needed.

Our Natural Health and Wellness Summit is designed to educate you about and allow you to experience the myriad of natural health services and treatments that exist to help you look and feel your BEST!

Experience on-site chair massage and sample healthy snacks. Learn how you may be able to reduce or eliminate some medications; grow healthy, strong hair; reduce your waistline and more. Come out and enhance your personal health.

The event is FREE for women who have served in any branch of the military (active or reserve) and you can bring a friend. We’ll have activities for the children too! Breakfast and lunch will be provided. You won’t be disappointed. Space is limited so register fast!
