The Galveston Coalition against Human Trafficking is working to raise awareness about the issue of human trafficking in Galveston County.

On Wed., April 13, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM CDT, a live webcast entitled “Educating Against Demand” will be available for viewing at Moody Methodist Church (2803 53rd Street, Galveston 77551) in the Fellowship Hall for all persons who are interested in learning more about how to combat sex trafficking. This presentation comes from the CEASE (Cities Empowered Against Sexual Exploitation) Network which can be explored at their website: CEASE Network.

This webinar will take the form of a discussion between experts who will share how prevention-based programs can educate middle, high school and college/university students, school administrators, and the general public about sexual exploitation, sexual assault, domestic violence, and recognizing the signs of trafficking. Speakers include:

* Hannah Wilson, CEASE Boston, Co-Coordinator
* Michael Johnson, Executive Director of Project Pave
* Caleb Probst, Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation (CAASE), Educator

Representatives from CEASE Network cities will have the opportunity to ask targeted questions about how to develop, implement, and facilitate prevention education efforts in their own localities.

RSVP to coalition@moody.org.
