The Manus Christi Society was founded by faithful individuals committed to charity and justice through their financial and personal commitment to the vision and mission of Catholic Charities. Manus Christi is Latin for “hands of Christ” and these individuals truly embody our vision and mission of Catholic Charities.

Since the program’s inception, their faith in action has helped hundreds of thousands of people in need, regardless of religion, race or socioeconomic status.

Christ has no body but yours, no hands, no feet on earth but yours, yours are the eyes with which he looks compassion on this world, yours are the feet which he walks to do good, yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body.

– St. Teresa of Avila (1515-1582)
